A Full Buying Guide to the Louis Vuitton Neverfull

The Neverfull is one of the most successful bags of Louis Vuitton. Since its introduction in 2007, the bag has become a staple in wardrobes of tens of thousands luxury fashion lovers around the World. Everyone loves the Neverfull because it’s literally, “never full”! Even the smallest Neverfull in the PM size, is very spacious and holds a larger iPad, amongst other essentials.

In this blog post I would like to break down everything one needs to know about the Neverfull bag. If you are unsure which size to get, are curious about the pricing and where it’s best to buy the bag, you came to the right place! So, carry-on reading.

Bag features and available sizes

The bag is available in classic LV Monogram Canvas, Damier Ebene, Damier Azure and Epi Leather. In addition, from season to season, Louis Vuitton produces limited edition variations of the bag. The Neverfull features two shoulder straps and a simple clasp closure. Canvas models have gold-plated hardware, while Epi Leather bags feature silver-plated hardware.

The Neverfull comes in 3 sizes: PM (small), MM (medium) and GM (large).

Which size to go for?

PM is the smallest size. Neverfull PM is a great tote for everyday wear. Also, if you are on the petite side, this might be the best size for you. The PM size has a handle drop of 6.5 inches, which is about 16.5 cm.

MM is the most popular Neverfull size. Many find it perfect for work and school, as the bag fits a smaller laptop, books and A4 magazines. The MM size has a handle drop of 8.5 inches, which is about 21.5 cm.

GM is the largest size for the Neverfull. The bag is ideal for both travel and work. It will easily hold a 15” laptop and much more. Handle drop on the Neverfull GM is 8.5 inches, just like on the Neverfull MM.

Where to buy? New or pre-loved?

Taking into account current currency conversion rates, it’s safe to say that at the moment, it’s cheaper to buy the bag in Europe. So, if the Neverfull is on your shopping list and it happens that you are planning a trip to Paris, definitely consider taking advantage of the price difference! However, there is one thing I must warn you about. Many travel to France to score luxury fashion and accessories for less. This is why luxury stores there are often very busy. Louis Vuitton boutiques in Paris are, in fact, the busiest. It might be the case that the bag will be out of stock. So, I highly recommend you to call the boutique and inquire stock information, before going in person.

A popular place to shop for the Neverfull bag is the pre-loved market. In fact, very often you can find some pretty good deals out there. By the way, last year, there’ve been rumors that the Neverfull in PM size will be soon discontinued, which hyped up the demand for the bag on the pre-loved market.

I do shop pre-loved myself. I have managed to score incredible pieces. However, my biggest concern when shopping pre-loved is authenticity. The pre-loved market nowadays is flooded with super-fakes, especially, when talking about handbags. So, if you are on the hunt for the pre-loved Neverfull, make sure that you only shop with authority consignment stores/companies.

My favourite places to shop for pre-loved luxury handbags are: Fashionphile, theRealReal, Rebag and Vestiaire Collective.
