Quilted bags are luxurious and timeless. It all began with Chanel’s classic 2.55 bag, which is undoubtedly one of the signature pieces of the fashion house. Fast forward till today: every major handbag designer had their take on the iconic style. As a result, a quilted bag has become a staple luxury item. This is why in this blog post I’ve decided to round up the list of my current favorite quilted bags.
1. Michael Kors Medium Cece Quilted Leather Shoulder Bag
Starting up the list is the Michael Kors Medium Cece Quilted Leather Shoulder Bag. The bag retails at below $400 and in my opinion is an absolute steal! While quilted leather itself gives a luxe statement, the bag’s adjustable, removable chain and leather crossbody strap make the Medium Cece a perfect bag for multiple occasions.
2. Tory Burch Kira Chevron Quilted Leather Bag
Next in my list is the Kira Chevron Quilted Leather Bag by Tory Burch. This handbag is simply beautiful. It is made of super soft 100% Lambskin leather in a chevron quilted pattern. The bag features single leather top handle, as well as a chain detail with an adjustable shoulder strap and a Tory Burch logo closure. Structured silhouette of the bag makes it perfect for carrying all the essentials. Furthermore, the bag retails at just below $500.
3. Gucci Marmont Bucket Bag
With the recent Worldwide bucket bag obsession, it’s impossible not to mention one of the newest additions to the Gucci’s Marmont Line: Gucci GG Marmont Quilted Leather Bucket bag. This mini bucket bag is crafted in Gucci’s distinctive matelassé chevrons. It features a drawstring closure and a polished chain strap with the crossbody strap drop of 23”.
4. Saint Laurent (YSL) LouLou Bag
A bag that is on the wishlist of many: the YSL’s LouLou. The LouLou bag was named after Yves Saint Laurent’s muse Loulou de la Falaise. The bag is made of soft matelassé calfskin leather. It features V-style quilting, with the iconic YSL logo in the front. The LouLou bag comes in a variety of sizes. All LouLou’s feature a magnetic snap-flap closure.
5. Valentino Garavani Rockstud Spike Leather Shoulder Bag
If you are into edgier styles then Valentino’s Rockstud Spike Bag might be the one! The bag features an edgy contemporary design with quilted leather embellished with signature studded detail. This is a bag that will blend perfectly with urban wardrobes. Furthermore, it will perfectly fit with both day and evening wear as the detachable top handle and chain shoulder strap allow to switch up the looks quickly.
6. Chanel Boy Bag
The list of my current favorite quilted bags wouldn’t be complete without the iconic Chanel Boy. This chic flap bag features linear quilting, chain link shoulder strap and CC push lock. Even though, the Chanel Boy has been introduced relatively recently (in 2011), over the years the bag has already recommended itself as modern classic. Chanel Boy Bag comes in a variety of sizes and is perfect for both day and evening wear.
