Chanel Price Increase November 2021
My optimistic self was hoping that we wouldn’t see another Chanel price increase in 2021, but here we go. Another price increase took place on November 3rd (and it’s the third one for 2021!). As you have probably already guessed, Classic Flaps have been impacted. So has been the 2.55 Reissue. Actually, it looks like this price hike was aimed specifically at the classic styles. As of November 3rd, prices on trendier Chanel bags, like the Chanel 19, Chanel Boy Bag and Trendy CC remained unchanged. So, if you were saving up for one of those, you can breathe out with relief. However, if what you desire is one of Chanel’s classic bags, here are the new U.S. prices as of November 3rd, 2021.
Chanel Classic Flap: New Retail Prices (November 2021)

As of November 3rd, 2021, the Chanel Small Classic Flap retails at $8,200. That’s a price increase of $1,100, or 15.5 percent from the previous retail price of $7,100. The Medium Classic Flap went up by 12.8 percent, from $7,800 to $8,800. The Jumbo is now $9,500, while the Chanel Classic Flap in the Maxi size will now cost you whopping $10,000 before tax.
Surprisingly, the Chanel Mini’s didn’t go up in price this time. However, to be fair, Chanel doesn’t consider these as classics. Perhaps that’s why they were excluded from this price hike. The Mini Square and Rectangular Flaps remain priced at $4,200 and $4,400. Still quite a lot for a mini bag, if you ask me. But hey, the Mini’s are still nearly 50 percent cheaper than the Small Classic Flap. If you don’t mind the smaller size of the Chanel Mini, this could be a way to make a saving. Chanel 2.55 Reissue: New Retail Prices (November 2021)

Though the Mini Reissue price remained unchanged, other sizes of the Chanel 2.55 Reissue Bag have increased in price quite a lot. The Medium Reissue is now $8,800, which is a $1000, or a 12.8 percent price increase from the previous retail price of $7,800. Large Reissue went up in price by 11.8 percent, going up from $8,500 to $9,500. Similarly to the Maxi Classic Flap, the Maxi Reissue is now $10,000.
Chanel price increases: the bottom line
Recent Chanel price increases have sparked a heated debate online on whether the bags are worth their current price tags. Some argue that price increases are a good thing because with every price hike, the bags you already own are more likely to keep their value. Others refuse to shop in boutiques because they believe that current prices don’t match the quality. Regardless of which category you are in, the truth remains that Chanel’s handbags continue to be among the most desirable in the World. Therefore, most people will continue buying Chanel, even at their current prices.
