1. White tank tops

Can something as simple as a white tank top become a top fashion trend? It definitely can, and Fall/Winter 2022 runways are a proof that the humble basic can be worn all year round. Paired with blue jeans at Bottega Veneta, styled with leather pants at Chloe and elevated with midi skirts and high-heels at Prada, the tank top is the new Fall/Winter must-have. Perhaps you already have one laying in your closet? If not, just go to H&M, or opt for one of designer tank tops as seen on the runways. By the way, Prada’s logo tank top from the Fall/Winter 2022 Collection is already sold out everywhere!

2. Corsets

If there’s one thing we’ve learnt from the Fall/Winter 2022 runways, it’s that corsets are back. But don’t you worry: corsets in 2022 are nothing like corsets from decades ago. In 2022, corsets are fun and playful. They are by no means meant to make you feel uncomfortable and restrictive. Actually, if there’s anything corsets are meant to do in 2022 is that they want to make you feel empowered and confident. From futuristic bustier tops at Balmain to motocross-inspired corsetry at Dior, Fall/Winter 2022 corsets are as daring as ever, and I’m here for it.

3. Duster Coats

The major outwear trend to invest in for Fall/Winter 2022? Without a doubt, a duster coat. Featured on Fall/Winter 2022 runways of Ann Demeulemeester, Coperni and many others, duster coats are set to become a dominating type of outwear this season. Simple yet high-impact, a duster coat is going to create drama regardless of what’s underneath it, which means it can be worn with just about anything. Not even to mention that thanks to its full length, it will keep you warm in any weather. I mean, what else to look for in a coat?

4. Oversized Bags

Even if you aren’t spending that much time on social media chances are that you saw your favorite influencer or celeb rock the enormous Saint Laurent Icare Bag this summer. Well, it looks like the big bag trend is set to continue into the Fall/Winter season, as FW22 runways are filled with oversized styles, from XXL totes at Brandon Maxwell and Salvatore Ferragamo to larger than life hobos at Khaite and Bottega Veneta. I personally couldn’t be more excited. Made to fit in all of your belongings and more, these bags are a signal that we’re finally getting back to normality.

5. Over-the-knee boots

If you thought over-the-knee boots were out of fashion, let me inform you that they aren’t. In fact, over-the-knee boots can very well be the official shoe of the season, as they were spotted on practically every single Fall/Winter 2022 runway. From wide-wader styles at Chanel and Acne Studios to tall glove-like boots at Saint Laurent and Balenciaga, this season over-the-knee boots come in all kinds of shapes and styles. So, if you don’t own a pair yet, now is a perfect time to go shopping. Or, it’s time to take out that Stuart Weitzman pair you already own!
