How to Buy the Louis Vuitton Neverfull in 2024
The Neverfull is one of Louis Vuitton’s most successful bags, there’s no doubt. Introduced by the House of Louis Vuitton in 2007 as a seasonal beach bag, the design quickly became renowned for its laid-back style and incredible capacity, which till this day amazes a lot of people. I mean, the Neverfull is literally, “never full”! Even the smallest size of the bag is insanely capacious, easily holding a continental wallet, amongst other essentials.
So, in this article I would like to break down everything one needs to know about the Louis Vuitton Neverfull. If you are unsure which size to get, are curious about the pricing and where it’s best to buy the bag, keep on reading.
Bag features and available sizes
At the time of writing this article, Louis Vuitton makes the Neverfull in 4 different sizes: BB, PM, MM and GM. The BB size was added to the range in 2023 and is currently the smallest size for the handbag, whereas the other three have been around for years.
It is often being said that Louis Vuitton released the Neverfull in order to rival Goyard’s best-selling Saint Louis tote. And at first glance, the two bags are indeed very similar, boasting the same open-style silhouette with two top handles and a removable pouch.
The Neverfull, however, in addition to that, also features a simple clasp closure, and by itself, is a more sturdy bag compared to the Saint Louis Tote. Not even to mention that, besides the classic canvas, the Neverfull is also available in full leather designs.
Which size to go for?
View the exact dimensions of the 4 sizes of the Louis Vuitton Neverfull bag below:
| Louis Vuitton Neverfull Sizes | Dimensions (cm) | Dimensions (inches) |
| BB | L 24.0 x H 14.0 x W 9.0 cm | L 9.4” x H 5.5” x W 3.5” |
| PM | L 29.0 x H 21.0 x W 12.0 cm | L 11.4” x H 8.3” x W 4.7” |
| MM | L 31.0 x H 28.0 x W 14.0 cm | L 12.2” x H 11” x W 5.5” |
| GM | L 39.0 x H 32.0 x W 19.0 cm | L 15.4” x H 12.6” x W 7.5” |
For years, we’ve all known the PM as the smallest size of the Neverfull. However, everything changed in 2023, when Louis Vuitton decided to introduce the BB size. The scaled-back version of the original Neverfull tote, the Louis Vuitton Neverfull BB is just the right size for small essentials like a smartphone and a wallet. The bag also comes with a detachable strap for crossbody wear with a max. strap drop of 58 cm.
The second-smallest size in the Neverfull range is the PM. Measuring around 11.4 inches in length and 8.3 inches in height, the bag is spacious enough to fit in an iPad, as well as any other day-to-day essentials. The bag also arrives with a removable pouch which can be used as a clutch or an extra pocket.
Arguably the most popular size for the Louis Vuitton Neverfull Bag is the Neverfull MM. But honestly, it’s really easy to see why, as the bag features a generous capacity with plenty of space to fit a laptop, several books and A4-sized files. In fact, a lot of people consider the Neverfull MM the perfect bag for work, school and everything in between.
Need a bit more space? Then the Neverfull GM is for you! Measuring 15.4 inches in length and 12.6 in height, this bag will be perfect for carrying anything from a laptop to a spare pair of shoes! A detachable interior pouch also comes in very handy for keeping the smaller essentials organized.

Where and how to buy?
In May 2023, the fashion world was shocked by the rumor of the Louis Vuitton Neverfull being discontinued. This, however, was quickly proven to be false. Though we did end up learning that the classic (canvas) Neverfull, moving forward will only be accessible through a waitlist system. What this essentially means is that those of us who want to buy the bag will now have to place a pre-order either in-store or online. Allegedly, this shift reflects Louis Vuitton’s strategic focus on expanding its leather goods offerings, rather than the classic coated canvas designs (learn more about it here). What’s fascinating though, is that limited edition Neverfull styles will still remain available for purchase both online and in-store.
What about the pre-loved market?
A lot of people also choose to buy the Neverfull through the pre-loved market. And it’s really no wonder, as very often you can find some pretty good deals out there. However, the pre-loved market is also very much dependent on the rumors going around. For example, last year when everyone started talking about the Neverfull being discontinued, prices for the pre-loved bags quickly shot up, much like the demand for the Neverfull through the pre-loved market.
One should also note that the Louis Vuitton Neverfull, in general, holds its resale value pretty well, with versions in canvas retaining as much as 70% of their retail value (depending on the condition of the bag). Click here to view the selection of bags currently for sale through Fashionphile.
