Louis Vuitton’s Iconic Monogram Turns 130
2026 marks 130 years since the creation of Louis Vuitton’s iconic Monogram. Designed in 1896 by Georges Vuitton, the House founder’s son, the instantly recognizable motif has since become the ultimate symbol of luxury, craftsmanship, and, of course, of Louis Vuitton. I mean, what is Louis Vuitton without its Monogram?
So, to celebrate, the House is unveiling three exclusive capsule collections: Monogram Origine, VVN, and Time Trunk. Reimagining five iconic designs across canvas, leather, and the Maison’s legendary trunk-making savoir-faire, each capsule pays homage to a different facet of Louis Vuitton’s heritage. And adding to the excitement, the beloved Monogram Multicolore makes a vibrant return in a re-edition of signature styles created with Takashi Murakami. Thus, if you happened to miss out on the last drop, this is your chance! Ahead, my personal favorites from the collections.

Drawing inspiration from an archival design from 1908, the Louis Vuitton Monogram Origine Alma Trunk BB celebrates 130 years of the Louis Vuitton Monogram with a unique update on the original pattern.
Nano Speedy
A cheerful take on one of the House’s best-selling mini bags, this edition of the Louis Vuitton Nano Speedy is adorned with gold-toned hardware and includes a unique label that is exclusive to the celebratory collection.
Speedy Soft 30
Made from canvas, this Louis Vuitton Speedy 30 reimagines the classic design with a trompe l’oeil print to depict traditional trunks from the House’s archives.
LV x TM Speedy Soft 30
Reimagined specifically for the anniversary collection of the Louis Vuitton Monogram, the LV x TM Speedy Soft 30 is crafted from canvas and trimmed with smooth cowhide, including a bow-shaped charm and anniversary address tag with studs and padlock.
Keepall Bandoulière 45
And obviously, the iconic Keepall: this time reimagined in Monogram Origine, featuring a new vintage-style Monogram pattern on linen and cotton coated canvas.
