Hermès Price Increase 2026: Europe vs. USA
If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you know that I am not the one to report on the unconfirmed rumors. And I chose not to do so when I first heard the rumors about a major Hermès price increase happening in January of 2026. You know, the luxury community has become increasingly more dramatic lately, and from my personal experience, most of the time, they tend to overreact when they hear the words “price increase”. So I personally decided to wait for January and see what’s going to happen.
In the meantime though, I did reach out to my New York City sales associate to get a clearer picture of what was actually coming. And yes, the January 2026 Hermès price increase was indeed confirmed. But the figures shared with me were far more measured than the eye-watering numbers making the rounds on social media. In truth, this adjustment follows a familiar pattern: Hermès revises its pricing every January, and while this year’s increase may be slightly more noticeable, it is hardly unprecedented. Hermès Price Increase 2026 in Europe
Nothing says nouveau départ quite like paying more for the same bag you wanted last year, so Hermès started increasing their prices right from January 1st, with the first market impacted being Europe—I mean, are we even surprised?
With that being said, this wasn’t a shock-and-awe situation. Compared to the dramatic price rises floating around online, the actual European price increase landed firmly in the expected but still mildly annoying category.
In particular, Hermès’s iconic bags—Birkins, and Kellys across sizes, this time saw increases hovering between 7% and 9%, which is on a higher side, but still very much in line with Hermès’ usual annual adjustments. The Birkin 35 was one of the bigger movers, jumping 9.4%, while the Birkin 30 followed closely behind at 8.2%.
What is interesting, though, is how selective Hermès was this year. Some styles took a noticeable hike, while others barely flinched. Case in point: the Kelly Sellier models in Epsom. Both the Kelly 25 and Kelly 28 Sellier saw increases of just 2–3%, which almost feels… normal?
And then there was the moment that has had me double-check my spreadsheet: the Evelyne 16 TPM. The price went from €1,690 to €1,700. That’s a 0.6% increase—essentially the cost of a croissant and an espresso in Paris.

Hermès Price Increase 2026 in the USA
After increasing their prices in Europe, Hermès followed to other markets. And among those: the USA. As a result of the January 2026 price increase specifically, the Hermès bag prices in the U.S. went up between 4 and 8 percent, with the largest increase observed on the Kelly 25 Retourne, which at the time of writing this post, costs $13,700 in Togo.
The fan-favorite Mini Kelly, too, hasn’t been spared, going up from an already-hefty price tag of $10,500 to an even steeper $11,400 in 2026, while the coveted Mini Lindy now costs $9,050 plus tax in Clemence. See more prices below!

And since we are already talking about the Hermes price increase 2026, I guess it also makes sense to say a few words about the new retail prices of other H-items here in the U.S. After all, Hermès is way more than its coveted bags! I’ve personally, for example, have always been a big fan of their scarves and jewelry, which unfortunately also went up as a result of the January 2026 price increase. The Carré 70 and Carré 90 scarves, for example, now cost $500 and $660 (instead of $460 and $620 previously), while the popular Clic H Bracelet (standard model) is now $810 instead of old $770, implying a price increase of around 5 percent.
