A Guide to Discontinued Louis Vuitton Handbags
It’s always disappointing to be browsing your designer bag wishlist to discover that a bag has been discontinued. That’s exactly how I felt when I found out that the Louis Vuitton Pallas Clutch was discontinued. I was planning to buy it while on a trip to Paris later that year, and all of a sudden that wasn’t possible. It got me thinking about all of the many Louis Vuitton handbags that have been discontinued recently.

1. Louis Vuitton Pallas Clutch
I am starting up the list of the discontinued Louis Vuitton handbags with the bag that has inspired this deep dive – the Louis Vuitton Pallas Clutch! Released as part of Louis Vuitton’s Pallas Collection, which made its debut in 2011 and is now fully discontinued, Pallas Clutch was beloved for its compact and functional design, combining the iconic Monogram canvas with colored calf leather. This little bag could also be worn in 4 different ways: as a shoulder bag, crossbody, a wristlet, or a handheld clutch!
2. Louis Vuitton Eva Clutch
Louis Vuitton also made quite a stir when they suddenly discontinued the Eva Clutch in 2010. One of the most popular Louis Vuitton handbags of the time, the Eva Clutch used to come in all three iconic Louis Vuitton prints; the Monogram Canvas, Damier Ebene and Damier Azur. It appears that it was a victim to Louis Vuitton streamlining their collection, eliminating a bag very similar to others available.
Eva Clutch, Favorite MM and Pochette Felicie all had something in common: similar size and functionality. If you want the Eva Clutch, the good news is that the bag is still freely available on the pre-loved market.
3. Louis Vuitton Berkeley
Some call the Louis Vuitton Berkeley a flashier version of the Speedy, but it was mighty in its own right. Particularly popular in the late 2000s, it completely disappeared from the LV website by 2013.
A satchel-style bag, the Louis Vuitton Berkeley, was available in Damier Ebene and Damier Azur canvas with adjustable rolled leather top handles, polished brass hardware and a golden Louis Vuitton Inventeur plaque on the front. Now discontinued, it’s one of the harder bags to find on the pre-loved market, though I do occasionally see it on Fashionphile.
4. Louis Vuitton Delightful
Next up on the list of the discontinued Louis Vuitton handbags comes the Louis Vuitton Delightful. First introduced for Louis Vuitton’s 2010 pre-fall collection, the Delightful was a chic and stylish tote bag crafted from Louis Vuitton’s signature canvas. The bag opened up to a spacious fabric interior with a zipper pocket. It was also available in three different sizes (PM, MM and GM). The bag, however, was discontinued in 2017 to be replaced by a new design called “Graceful”, which, by the way, remains available through Louis Vuitton till this day, but only in two sizes: PM and MM.
5. Louis Vuitton Totally
Likely the most popular zippered LV tote, the Louis Vuitton Totally, was first introduced in 2009. Unlike the open-style Neverfull, the Totally offered added security, which appealed to many LV enthusiasts. I always admired the bag for its spacious interior and side pockets, making it a perfect everyday tote for busy lifestyles.
The Totally came in both Damier Ebene and Monogram Canvas. But unfortunately, by 2017, Louis Vuitton discontinued it, much to the dismay of its fans (and I can see why!). However, it remains available on the pre-loved market, and you can find it in good condition on platforms like Fashionphile.
6. Louis Vuitton Tivoli
Named after the scenic Italian Town of Tivoli, the Louis Vuitton Tivoli is a true Y2K icon. Launched as a part of Louis Vuitton’s Fall 2008 collection, the bag quickly became a fan-favorite, beloved for its distinctive pleated detailing, curved shape and spacious interior.
As stylish as it was practical, the Louis Vuitton Tivoli bag featured the brand’s classic Monogram canvas with vachetta leather top handles and protective feet at the bottom. You could also choose between two main sizes: PM and GM, both of which are now discontinued.
7. Louis Vuitton Retiro
With its “bowling bag” silhouette and reinforced leather corners, the Louis Vuitton Retiro was the perfect bag for everyday and travel. Louis Vuitton initially released the style in 2011, and it was available in two sizes: PM and GM. However, in 2015, the design was updated to the new Louis Vuitton Retiro NM (“NM” refers to new model), which was the only available option for the bag moving forward. Just like the original Louis Vuitton Retiro, the Retiro NM featured the brand’s classic monogram canvas and a removable strap for shoulder carry. Now discontinued, but still available on the pre-loved market.
8. Louis Vuitton Monogram Bumbag
Originally released for SS 2018, the Monogram Bumbag quickly became one of Louis Vuitton’s most popular bags. Its versatile style allowed it to be worn around the waist, across the body, or even over the shoulder, making it a unisex favorite for both casual outings and high-fashion events.
Unfortunately, the Monogram Bumbag had a short life and was discontinued in 2022, leaving many fans disappointed. However, Louis Vuitton has since introduced a new, smaller version of the Bumbag. Obviously, it’s not the same as the original. But also, if you want the original, you can still find it on the pre-loved market.
9. Louis Vuitton Toiletry Pouch
All three sizes of the Louis Vuitton Toiletry Pouch (15, 19, and 26) were discontinued in 2021, which came as a surprise to many LV lovers. These pouches were known for their versatility and were often used as clutches or organizers within larger bags, and as traveling add-ons alongside the iconic Keepall. Interestingly, Louis Vuitton has recently reintroduced the Toiletry Pouch as a set, but the original versions still remain popular on the pre-loved market if you’re looking for a particular size.
10. Classic Louis Vuitton Speedy
And now to the most shocking Louis Vuitton discontinuation to date! Yeah, believe it or not, the classic version of the iconic Louis Vuitton Speedy is now discontinued (I know, I can’t believe it either!). But it’s true. After being in production for nearly 100 years, Louis Vuitton has discontinued its iconic Speedy with two top handles. And while the Speedy Bandouliere, which was first released in 2011, is still available, the classic version holds a special place in Louis Vuitton’s history, which is also why I believe it was a huge mistake to discontinue it. Read more in a dedicated article.
These are the 10 Louis Vuitton handbags that have been discontinued recently. Of course, this list is most likely not complete as it’s impossible to find information on every single bag out there that has been discontinued. However, I will definitely keep my eye on this topic. So, stay tuned for more blog posts related to discontinued Louis Vuitton handbags!
I hope that this blog post was helpful!

The nicest bag isn’t mentioned. It’s the very first one that is in the pic with the model. What is the name of that one? Thanks
Hi, Patrice! Thanks for your comment. The bag on the model is indeed mentioned, it’s the Louis Vuitton Retiro in classic LV Monogram. In 2015, Louis Vuitton has updated the look of the bag and released the NM (new model) Retiro. However, as of today, all of them got discontinued.
Nice article.
What about my favorite the totally.
I had one but it turned out to be defective. I received a credit but would really prefer to have the bag.
Hi Joan! Many thanks for your feedback. I highly appreciate it! Yes, it looks like the Totally has been discontinued. So, I am afraid you will have to use your store credit on something else. I guess, the only way to get the bag now is through the pre-loved market.
I really want an Eva Clutch but all the ones I’m seeing for resale all have date codes after 2010 and selling for over $1000. Were these bags still produced after 2010?
Hey there! Yes, Eva clutch was still produced after 2010. As far as I can remember, it was discontinued around 2016-2017.
I’m really trying to find a new Montaigne MM, which has been discontinued but I know it’s still available in retail stores. Can I call a store and have it shipped to me?
Thanks
You should totally call the store! I’ve shopped at LV through the phone numerous times. It was never a problem getting things shipped to me. Or, alternatively, you could also try to arrange an in-store pickup.
Curious to know what the retail price of the tivoli pm was before it got discontinued? I’m thinking of getting one preloved but also don’t want to be taken advantage from. Please let me know a good price range for one of these now. Thank you
I think it was around $1,500. Actually, there are multiple Tivoli PM bags available through Fashionphile right now and all are priced under $1,000 (also in very good condition). I think a fair price to pay through the pre-loved market would be within $800 and a $1,000. Hope this helps!
Has the Louie Vuitton Totally PM bag been discontinued
Hi! Yes it looks like it.
