Chanel 25 Bag Reference Guide
Anyone else has thought that we are only going to see a new major handbag release from Chanel once Matthieu Blazy takes the helm? Idk why, but I thought this way. But clearly, I was wrong, as on January 31st Chanel unveiled its new 25 bag, a hobo-shaped it-bag, which is set to follow in the footsteps of the brand’s previously wildly successful 19 and 22 bags.
Chanel 25 Bag
Unveiled with the help of a short film starring Dua Lipa, the Chanel 25 bag is a youthful, yet sophisticated design combining the brand’s classic style codes with an on-trend, hobo bucket-like silhouette. First showcased during Chanel’s Cruise 2024/25 fashion show, the bag features a relaxed, trapezoidal shape with a diamond-quilted exterior, side pockets accessorized with CC closures, and a drawstring closure (also with the CC emblem) that keeps your belongings secure inside the bag’s main compartment. A chunky, interwoven chain then adds a modern edge.

Sizes
As per time of writing this post, we know about the three main sizes for the Chanel 25 Bag. In particular, the Small, the Medium and the Large (view exact dimensions for the sizes in the table below).

Currently, the handbag is available through boutiques in both calfskin and suede, with options in classic black, white, grey, and beige. Furthermore, Chanel’s SS25 collection, which launches in March, is expected to introduce fresh seasonal shades, such as pale pink and green.
Prices
The retail price is currently $6,000 for the Chanel 25 Bag Small, $6,400 for the bag in the medium, and $7,300 for the large. Is the price a bit high for a new handbag? Yes, it is. But on the other hand, we shouldn’t be surprised, as that’s Chanel. Furthermore, the design of the Chanel 25 is far more complex than the same 22 Bag (which I like, because I’ve always considered the 22 to be quite plain).
