My Designer Handbag Wishlist for 2025
It’s been a while since I’ve shared my designer handbag wishlist on here—and let’s just say—a lot has changed over this time. In particular, I’ve finally started shopping pre-loved—something I never fully embraced until recently. Surprisingly, I am also no longer sprinting after every new designer drop the way I used to (I guess I am getting old?). But that doesn’t mean no bags have made it onto my wishlist—quite the opposite, actually; my handbag wishlist has only expanded (though now it’s more like a blend of old and new). Keep scrolling to discover the top 5 styles currently on my radar.
1. Louis Vuitton x Murakami Nano Speedy
Like many, I’ve ended up missing out on the initial LV x Murakami launch (the restock too, if I am being completely honest). But you know, there’s still some hope out there that I may get my hands on the Nano Speedy from the collection. I mean, this mini bag blends everything one may want in a bag: nostalgia, artistry, and that playful Y2K energy that only Takashi Murakami can deliver. It’s tiny, it’s colorful, and it’s an instant mood booster. Hence, why I’m keeping a close eye on the resale market and praying I find one that’s in like-new condition without an eye-watering markup.
2. Bottega Bottega Veneta Intrecciato Hobo Bag
This next bag on the list has been living in my head rent-free for a good few seasons now—and I think it’s finally time to do something about it. That’s right, the vintage Bottega Veneta Intrecciato Hobo has completely overtaken my mind. Btw, anyone else thinks that this bag feels both timeless and very now with its oversized, slouchy silhouette paired with the iconic woven leather? It’s basically one of those pieces that makes any outfit look elevated—whether you’re wearing it with jeans and a tee or a tailored blazer. The only reason I haven’t pulled the trigger yet? I have yet to find one in good enough condition—to wear it nonstop!
3. Dior Small Lady D-Joy
When Dior first introduced the D-Joy, I wasn’t entirely convinced. It felt like a stretched-out Lady Dior, and I wasn’t sure the proportions worked. But over time—and thanks to some seriously chic outfit inspiration on Instagram—I’ve completely come around. Though I’d probably go for the small size, instead of the popular micro. Yes, as much as I like the idea of a micro bag, I still need a bag that can carry my stuff. And I think that should be possible with the D-Joy in small.
4. Chanel Boy Bag in Iridescent Goatskin
Can we just talk about how wildly underrated the Chanel Boy Bag is? I currently have my eye on the iridescent version in particular—mostly because the way the leather catches the light in subtle rainbow tones is nothing short of magical. However, all versions of the Chanel Boy bag are currently priced really affordably through the resale market. I guess people are more interested in the Classic Flap and the 22 at the moment. Well, if that’s the case, more deals for me! Actually, my gut tells me that the iridescent version of the Boy Bag will be one of those pieces we’ll soon look back on as a true collector’s item.
5. Hermès Birkin 25 in Gris Pale
A light-colored Birkin has been on my wishlist for quite some time now. And you know what? I think I may finally pull the trigger! Obviously, it’s gonna be through the resale market—simply because what are the chances that my SA will magically pull the bag in the exact color and hardware combo I desire (come on, we all know how the Hermès game works)? On my wishlist right now in particular is the Hermès Birkin 25 in Gris Pale. I mean, just imagine how stunning it would look with all of those summer outfits!
