My Top Picks from Louis Vuitton x Murakami 2025 Collection
When in 2003 Louis Vuitton joined forces with the Japanese contemporary artist Takashi Murakami, they truly revolutionized the luxury fashion industry, by blending timeless craftsmanship with bold, avant-garde artistry. Not to even mention that Murakami’s vibrant monogram designs and whimsical characters instantly captured the hearts of fashion lovers worldwide, becoming classics in the eyes of many. So, when in 2024 rumors started going around about Louis Vuitton possibly reigniting the collaboration with the famed Japanese artist, a lot of people got really excited. Including myself, who has been an avid fan of the duo since the beginning (view the list of my favorite Louis Vuitton x Murakami collections here).
Luckily, we didn’t have to wait too long to receive a confirmation that this was indeed happening. Circa November 2024, photos of items from the collection started circulating online. Then, in December 2024, the official announcement came from Louis Vuitton themselves, who announced the collection via a post on Instagram.
A celebration of the duo’s rich history together, the Louis Vuitton x Murakami 2025 collaboration revives classic motifs from the duo’s previous collaborations. Think: the iconic Monogram Multicolor, charming Panda, as well as the Cherry Blossom pattern (set to return later in the year). And with the first chapter of the collection already here, I cannot wait, but share with you my top pics.
