Yay or Nay: Louis Vuitton Reversible Neverfull

Introduced in 2007, the Louis Vuitton Neverfull instantly became a fan-favorite thanks to its ultra-spacious interior that is almost impossible to fill entirely. So when in 2023 the rumors started circulating around about the bag possibly being discontinued, many handbag lovers got really upset. But fear not: the Neverfull is going nowhere. I mean, if it did, why would Louis Vuitton go ahead and release a brand new version of the bag?! That’s right, Louis Vuitton’s iconic Neverfull has just received a fresh update. Enter the Louis Vuitton Neverfull Inside Out: the new and improved reversible version of the beloved tote.

Design Background

So, I already can hear a lot of handbag lovers screaming at me from the rooftops: the original Neverfull was already reversible! Well, sort of. But it was actually never meant to be worn inside out. In fact, if you ever try to wear the original Louis Vuitton Neverfull inside out, chances are that you are going to significantly damage the canvas (according to my LV SA). Case in point: if you want to wear the bag inside out, you should get the new version.

Officially launched on September 20, 2024, the Louis Vuitton Neverfull Inside Out features an adapted lining in either leather or textile, which promises to withstand use on either side. Also included: additional hooks that allow for the bag to be transformed into a stylish hobo, a removable interior pouch, as well as a removable Bandouliere strap for different carry options across both sides.

Sizes

And talking about the sizes. Just like its iconic predecessor, the new Neverfull Inside Out comes available in an array of sizes. Among them, the standard MM and GM, as well as the playful BB, which is the new mini size, added to the Neverfull range last fall. So, whether you are looking for a super cute mini bag or a spacious travel tote, you should be able to find a match for your lifestyle.

In terms of dimensions, the Louis Vuitton Neverfull Inside Out MM is identical to the original Neverfull MM, whereas the Neverfull Inside Out BB and GM bags match in their measurements to the original Neverfull BB and GM bags respectively. You can view them here, if you like.

Materials and colors

As mentioned earlier, the new Louis Vuitton Neverfull Inside Out comes with either leather or textile lining. For the bag with leather lining, the available colors are tan and black for the MM and Black and Rose Pondichery (deep pink shade) for the BB.

The bag with textile lining, on the other hand, combines coated canvas exterior with textile lining in the bright shades of Rouge Sari (red), June Safran (yellow) and Rose Pondichery.

Btw, the Louis Vuitton Neverfull Inside Out GM for now is only available in beige textile with travel-inspired patches.

Prices

And now to the most exciting part: the price. The new Louis Vuitton Neverfull Inside Out will set you back between $2,300 and $3,000 retail. This is of course, a bit pricier than the original, non-reversible Neverfull, which currently starts at $1,960. However, when you consider all the extra features that come with the new bag, the premium really doesn’t seem too bad. But those are just my thoughts.

What about you? Would you buy this new Reversible Neverfull? Let’s talk in the comments below.
