Are you one of those people who actually believed Chanel when they said “no major price hikes on the horizon”? If so—bless your heart. Because here we are, barely three months later, and surprise: another price increase has landed in the USA. Honestly, it’s almost comical at this point. But to be fair, plenty of Chanel lovers already saw this coming right before Matthieu Blazy’s big debut collection for the brand shows in October of 2025. And they were right. In August 2025, Chanel quietly raised handbag prices in the U.S. again. But hey, the last Chanel price adjustment was way back in March 2024—which, in luxury years, feels like a really long time.
So, what exactly does this mean for your dream bag? In this article, I’m breaking down the new Chanel bag prices after the August 2025 increase—from classic flaps to newer releases—so you know exactly what kind of damage we’re talking about.
New Chanel Bag Prices in the U.S. (2025)
Starting up with the new prices on the Chanel Classic Flap and the 2.55 (yep, they are up again). Particularly, the Small Classic Flap and Small 2.55 climbed from $10,400 to $10,900—an increase of about 4.8 percent. The Medium Classic Flap or Medium 2.55, rose from $10,800 to $11,300, up 4.6 percent. Moving up in size, the Jumbo Classic Flap or Large 2.55 now costs $12,200 instead of $11,700, which is also a 4.3% hike. Finally, the Maxi Classic Flap jumped from $12,300 to $12,800, marking a 4.1 percent increase.
How about the Mini Flaps, you may ask? Well, those have also gone up! Though for just $200 this time, meaning that the Mini Square will now cost you $5,200 and the Mini Rectangular—$5,400.

A surprising exception from the August 2025 Chanel price increase? The new Chanel 25 Bag (I guess it’s still too new for price adjustments)! Other designs, however, did go up, with the highest price hike, specifically, observed on the Small Chanel 22, which has gone up in price by a whopping 7.3 percent and now costs $5,900.

Current Chanel Prices in Europe (September 2025)
Interestingly, Chanel hasn’t raised its handbag prices in Europe—at least not yet. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean that buying a bag in Europe is a good move. The $800 tax-free allowance has recently been removed, and given the uncertainty with tariffs, duties, and fluctuating exchange rates, the savings may no longer be worth the hassle.
