Back when I published my Goyard tote price guide in 2020, it quickly became one of my most popular blog posts. To be honest, it’s easy to see why. Out of all luxury brands out there, Goyard is probably the most secretive one. Not only does the brand never really advertise, or talk to the media, but it also doesn’t sell anything online. In fact, up until recently, Goyard’s products weren’t even listed on its website. So, in order to get a clear idea of their product range, you literally had to go to one of the brand’s retail locations. And just so you know, there are only like 35 Goyard boutiques around the World. In contrast, even Hermès has over 300 retail locations.
It’s actually fascinating, how with so few boutiques, Goyard manages to maintain its position as one of the World’s most popular luxury brands. I guess secrecy is part of the appeal, or how else would you explain the overarching popularity of Goyard’s bags and accessories? Goyard totes in particular are among the most recognizable luxury handbags in the World, beloved by celebrities and anyone who needs a lightweight tote that can hold a lot. That’s why the prices for Goyard totes are always a hot topic.
As you might have already guessed, Goyard doesn’t list prices for any of their products online, which means the only way to get to know them is by going to a boutique. However, if you don’t have a Goyard boutique nearby (which is very possible considering there are so few Goyard boutiques around the world), this could be pretty difficult. That’s where a Goyard tote price guide for 2022 comes into play.
Earlier in the year, I had a chance to visit a Goyard boutique in Paris and I thought I’d take notes on prices of some of the brand’s most popular totes, namely the Saint Louis, Anjou and Artois. So, in addition to listing current prices for the bags in the U.S., this price guide is also going to reveal the latest Goyard tote prices in Europe. Just keep scrolling.
Goyard Tote Prices 2022
Prior to listing current prices of Goyard totes in both USA and Europe, it’s important to mention that as of August 1st, 2022, prices of all classic color Goyard pieces have increased to match the prices of the corresponding special color pieces.
If you are into Goyard, you should already know that the brand classifies its colors into two categories: classic and special. Classic Goyard colors are Black/Black and Black/Tan. Special colors are White, Yellow, Orange, Red, Burgundy, Grey, Green, Light blue and Navy. Up until recently, Goyard was pricing its pieces in special colors slightly higher than the classic colors. That’s why, when looking for Goyard prices online, you would often see two different prices for the same item. However, not anymore. As of August 1st, 2022 Goyard prices are now the same for both classic and special colors. And with that being said, here are the latest Goyard tote prices in both USA and Europe.
|Goyard Tote Style||Current Price in USD||Current Price in EUR|
|St. Louis PM||$1,620||€1,220|
|St. Louis GM||$1,890||€1,430|
How much is the Goyard Saint Louis Tote?
Arguably the most popular of all Goyard totes, the Goyard St. Louis Tote currently retails for $1,620 plus tax in the U.S. in the PM size, and $1,890 plus tax in the GM size. In contrast, in Paris, the same bag retails for €1,220 in the PM size and €1,430 in the GM size.
Actually, here’s a little fun fact about the Goyard St. Louis: originally, it was designed as a beach bag. Made of the brand’s sturdy Goyardine canvas, the Goyard St. Louis Tote features an unlined interior, which can easily be reversed to the other side, making it possible to carry wet items inside the tote. The bag also comes with a removable pouch in matching canvas that’s perfect for smaller essentials, like keys and cards.
How much is the Goyard Anjou Tote?
Another top seller for Goyard, the Anjou Tote currently retails for $2,590 in the Mini version, $2,960 in the PM size and $3,400 in the GM size (add sales tax). In Paris, the same bag costs €1,840 in the mini, €2,100 in the PM and €2,400 in the GM sizes.
Just like the Goyard Saint Louis Tote, the Goyard Anjou comes with an interior pouch which can be removed and worn by itself. The bag is also fully reversible. However, unlike the Saint Louis tote, the Anjou features leather lining on the interior, which accounts for the significant price difference between the two bags.
How much is the Goyard Artois Tote?
Often referred to as a more structured and secure version of the Goyard Saint Louis Tote, the Goyard Artois comes in three main sizes (PM, MM and GM), with the bag in the PM size currently retailing for $2,190 plus tax in the U.S. and €1,660 in Europe. The bag in the MM size currently goes for $2,540 in the U.S. and €1,920 in Europe, while the Goyard Artois GM is currently priced at $2,725.
Are Goyard bags cheaper in Europe?
Ever wondered if Goyard bags are cheaper in Paris, or Europe in general? Well, let’s find out. In Paris, the Goyard St. Louis Tote in the PM size currently sells for €1,220, while in the U.S., the same bag costs $1,620 plus tax. At the time of writing this blog post, 1 Euro exchanges for $0.99, which means that €1,220 would translate to approximately $1,208. Considering that the current price for the bag in the US is $1,620 plus tax, you would potentially be saving over $400 by buying it in Europe. Basically, as long as Euro and Dollar trade at parity, or close to parity, you would be saving significant amounts by buying Goyard bags in Europe. And let’s not forget that foreign tourists also have an option to claim a VAT refund on their purchases in Europe, which can potentially result in even more savings.
